Certificate III Children's Services in Bendigo

Our Certificate III Children's services course in Bendigo has become a great success. This succcess can be attributed to the relationships Lisa Staley, Mark Castle and students have created with the local Bendigo community.

The course has been designed to meet the needs of jobseekers and people with little or no exposure to the Children's Services industry.

Key to the success of our graduates is that they all participate in work experience activities for atleast 5 hours per week and for a minimum of 105 hours over 6 months. This is like an extended job interview and many of our graduates find employment through the experiences gained at placement.

Being exposed to the industry 'warts and all' means students make informed decisions about this fantastic career transition. Students are supported with all workplace activities by regular visits from their trainer who conducts observation assessments.

Students are encouraged to participate in formal tutorial sessions 2 days per week for 21 weeks. Students who are already employed or gain employment during our scheduled course, can choose to complete studies in a 'self paced' delivery mode. Typically students who complete studies in a self pace capacity, meet with their trainer for 3 hours per month suplemented with workplace and homework activities.

50% of recent graduates obtained employment from their placement childcare centre. In partnership with Ignite Minds we can guarantee employment in Family Day Care for all graduates that meet the home safety inspection and setup requirements. Contact Mark on 0435760633 for further information.
