To graduate with CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care students must complete the below 9 Clusters/Modules plus HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting. Some Clusters/modules are delivered over 2 months so it is expected that all students will complete the 9 clusters over 12 months. there may be extra time granted to complete placement activities.
Entry Requirements
All students must hold either of the below qualifications prior to entry into this course.
- CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or
- CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

*'nominal hours' are set by the Victorian Purchasing Guide and include face to face study time, homework and work experience placement hours. Student should expect to commit 2 hours per Monday and 2 hours per Saturday to attend class plus 5 hours homework and at least 5 hours placement per week.
Students are required to attend 80% of all classes.
Classes will be recorded and made available for students who are unable to attend/commence on time due to family commitments. Students must make prior arrangements for catch up material.
